I would like to recommend a few mods that I believe would improve the overall gameplay of the server.
I will make multiple threads that include varying amounts of mods, depending on depth of the mod

AgriCraft
AgriCraft is an extremely customizable mod that increases the difficulty of farming, but makes farming more rewarding. This mod allows one to put seeds onto crop sticks, which allows one to start farming using AgriCraft. All seeds have three traits, Gain, Growth, and Strength, which have a max rank of 10. These traits can be seen when the crops are analyzed in the crop analyzer. Gain increases the yield of a crop, at 10 the crop will drop 4 of it's respective resource. Growth increases the rate of growth to make the crop grow slightly faster than normal. Finally Strength, which increases resistance to weeds and is used to determine the success rate of the clipping of that crop growing, which I will explain later. How much each of these traits affect the plants can be customized in the config file. Crop sticks can be placed on top of another set of crop sticks to make double crop sticks. These allow for the spreading and breeding of crops. Any crop that spreads this way may also increase the traits slightly. Low level crops bred with high level crops usually makes a crop that have similar trait levels, but slightly lower. How crops breed can be also configured in the config file.
Weeds have always been annoying, and this remains true in AgriCraft. Any crop sticks left without a crop will eventually have a weed grow on them. Weeds are bothersome because they may break double crop sticks, but weeds are also harmful to crops, as any left unattended will attempt to spread to other crops and overtake them. Strength affects how well a crop can resist weeds. A useful tool can be made to help destroy weeds with relative ease. It is a rake, which has a wooden and an iron variant. Weed's behavior can be changed in the config file.
Another tool that can make life easier is the clippers which lets you take a clipping of a crop but takes away a growth stage. These clippings can be used to plant and identical crop from the crop you took the clippings from. The success rate of this is based on the strength of the crop.
The last section of this mod is the irrigation, the art of watering crops. First you need water tanks, made from wood. This accept water from pipes and such, and can even generate water simply by having water flow over it (Disabled by default). It also collects water from rain. Next on the list is irrigation channels, which allows the movement of water going on the same y level or down. That means no going up. These can only take water from the water tanks. Lastly, the most important part of irrigation is the sprinklers. These can be placed below the channels to start tapping from water above to, and I quote,"Have a 20% chance every 5 seconds to growth tick a crop in sprinkler range" Water usage, water storage, sprinkler settings, and a few other things can be changed in the config.

I believe AgriCraft would help improve the overall server by giving more reason to farm crops and adds the goal of getting all the crops "10, 10, 10" (That is, the traits to level 10).

*Note, there are a few optional things to be enabled, like grass drops, seeds 'recipes' by breeding to two specific crops together, resource crops, and compatibility with many many many mods.
*Another note, you can disable the need to grow crops on crops sticks, and it is possible to ignore the mod entirely if the option in the config is enabled, and seeds only gain the ability to utilize traits and other things by scanning them in the analyzer.

Thought it was a bit long for that my bad
And I do believe it was based upon IC2's system, but with the aim to make it simpler

while this thread is active im just gonna say that maybe instead of adding farming mods we could add in an actual late-game mods to keep this dying server alive, because we only have like 3 mods for people who actually put time into playing.
