Since my country will be the chairman of the EU for half a year I came up with an awesome idea that I am planning on executing once the server comes back up: an union of players!
I will be the leader of the union at least in the beginning, and I will set everything up.
My plan is that players who got their shit together (have been playing for some time on the server and got a decent base and stuff) will have to pay a contribution each week or month, and these contribution will be used to help new and poor players (who also joined the union) and to build our headquarters. The contributors will get something in return, maybe free power if they live near the headquarters, and they can get free access to all the facilities in the headquarters, which will be very big. It will also have a NATO'ish side: all players from the union will try to help and defend each other.
In our headquarters we can setup a small democracy in which certain people will vote for new laws, but this will only happen if we get enough players.
If players don't contribute they will get penaltilized, and penaltys could consist of, but no limited to: a bigger contribution, etc. In the end if a person still doesn't pay, he will get kicked out of the union.
If you decide to join the union, you will still live in your own base. The headquarters are for if you need something.
We still need a name for the union though.
